so my mom is licensed through the episcopal church to write sermons (although she's not a priest). (as most of you know i myself happen to be an atheist. she doesn't know this...) tomorrow she's giving a sermon the same verse from the book of amos that martin luther king, jr. used in his "i have a dream speech" as a way to talk about prop 8. she's not to sure of the reaction she's going to get from the congregation, because although the episcopal church on the whole is quite liberal, the congregation at her church isn't. i want to share the rough draft version she sent to me in an email with you guys because i like what she wrote. ( so here it is. )
